FROM UGLY DUCKLING TO A SWAN – UTILITY ROOM TO A BATHROOM

Bathroom Remodel, News, Ann Arbor, Michigan

The existing combination utility and laundry room was a very unpleasant space with exposed pipes, drains, framing and electrical, a room that was only entered when absolutely necessary. The Clients asked David Rhoads, owner of HSA Remodeling for help since he had worked with one of them many years previously.

Several designs were produced, reviewed and adjusted as necessary to work with the site conditions and the Clients wishes. The end result is a combination bathroom and laundry room with the laundry hidden behind a sliding obscure glass door. The bathroom portion contains a custom built tile shower with a frame-less glass enclosure and a Diamond vanity from First Design Cabinetry to accommodate the Client’s granite counter.

The entire space is now well lighted with no exposed pipes or other unfinished surfaces. The Clients are very happy with their new space and now use it on a regular basis.
