A Master Bath to Match a Lifestyle
A Saline couple sought HSA’s help to create a master bath to better match their lifestyle. The existing bath was a standard linear bathroom with the vanity and toilet along one wall and a step-in molded shower across the end wall.
An adjacent guest bathroom, off the hallway to the master bedroom, was seldom used. Its tub/shower and an adjacent hall closet, including dividing walls, were removed to provide space for the expanded master bath. This required extensive plumbing, electrical, and HVAC modifications. It was accomplished without disturbing the finished ceiling of the space in the lower level or disrupting use of the lower-level bathroom.
A skylight added in the new master bath brings natural light in and helps balance the ambiance created by the darker tiles selected for the floor and wainscoting. The design and the available space required the construction of custom cabinetry and a shower. This was a complex challenge requiring intricate tile work.
The homeowners are thrilled with the results, and have invited HSA to return for more upgrades to the home.
