HSA Hosts Concert to Benefit New Teen Center in Saline

SALINE, MI (June 27, 2009) – The parking lot in front of Homeowner Services of America, Inc. at 199 W. Michigan Ave., one block west of downtown Saline, was tonight the site of a benefit concert for a new teen center to be built in Saline.

HSA donated the space and electricity for the event, which featured local rock bands Old Fashioned Knife Fight and Steve’s Jacket.

Also performing were singer-songwriter Jane Collins of Saline, and Saline High School student Megan Nye.

Performances were from 7:00 to 10:00 pm. Attendees paid $5.00 per person, proceeds from which will support the teen center’s construction.

The Saline Youth Council is spearheading the fundraising for the teen center, to be called The Fifth Corner. David Rhoads, the owner and president of HSA, is the Saline City Council’s liaison to the Saline Youth Council.

Saline’s Coalition for a Quality Community, of whom Rhoads is treasurer, has taken The Fifth Corner under its wing, providing financial guidance.

“We encourage Saline citizens to contribute their input and expertise to the teen center’s development,” said Rhoads. Those interested may contact Rhoads by phone at (734) 944-3337 or by email at david@hsa-remodel.com.
