HSA Reports Healthy Line-up of Remodeling Projects

SALINE, MI (March 3, 2009) – Belying the notion that the challenging economy has brought home remodeling in Michigan to a virtual halt, Saline-based Homeowner Services of America, Inc. (HSA) reports that it has eight significant remodeling projects for customers now in progress.

The projects include a whole house remodel, two additions, two bathroom remodels, installation of new siding and windows, extensive home maintenance work, and an "Aging in Place" initiative to adapt a home for the safety, comfort, and convenience of its senior residents. The work is taking in place in homes throughout Washtenaw County.

David Rhoads, HSA's founder, owner, and president, notes the determination of area homeowners to move ahead with their remodeling plans, even in an uncertain economic climate. "If you are thinking of remodeling," he says, "you are not alone. In fact, if you have been thinking of doing some work on your home this summer, you may want to act soon, as work schedules may soon fill up."

Since 1985, HSA has completed over 600 home remodeling projects. The company specializes in kitchens, baths, basements, additions, dormers, and master suites.

HSA also modifies homes for safe, comfortable living by senior citizens and physically challenged people. David Rhoads of HSA has earned the Certified Aging-in-Place Specialist (CAPS) designation from the American Association of Retired People (AARP) and the National Association of Home Builders (NAHB). Rhoads is a past president of the Home Builders Association of Washtenaw County (HBAWC), and a current executive director of the state HBA. The HBAWC honored Rhoads as the 2007 Builder of the Year.

Rhoads is also a member of the Saline City Council. In 2004, the Saline Area Chamber of Commerce selected Rhoads as Saline’s Citizen of the Year in recognition of his community involvement.
